Q. Why does my heat pump seem less efficient this year?

A. Has it had an annual service? This ensures its working to peak performance.

Q. Why does it not heat as well as my old boiler?

A. Heat pumps should be left running for longer or continuous, to keep your home at a reasonable temperature.

Q. Will my PV run the heat pump?

A. They will certainly help and especially in summer months heat most of the hot water.

Q. What areas do you cover for repairs and servicing?

Q. Are air to air systems more efficient?

A. Yes, more efficient and much quicker to heat any room than any other heating.

Q. Is air to air heating cheap to run?

A. Yes. Cheaper than just about any other heat source! If you have PV panels even cheaper.

Q. Do I require planning permission for a heat pump or air conditioner?

A. Not normally, there's a few basic conditions that are easily overcome under permitted development, but if in doubt then you should speak to your local council as it would be your responsibility. We assume this is all in order when we install.

Q. Do heat pumps qualify for a grant?

A. Currently air to water do provided they provide all the homes heating & hot water.

Q. How long will my underfloor heating or radiators take to warm up?

A. Underfloor 6+ hours, rads 2 hours, this is why systems need leaving on and not used like the old boiler.
